The first Info day held in Serbia (Kragujevac)

The first Info day within the Tempus project WBC-VMnet, was held on 15 April, 2010. at The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Kragujevac.

Info day in Kragujevac was aimed at:
• The presentation of the proposed model of cooperation that leads to the modernization of the   University and faculties, on one hand, and the transformation of enterprises, on the other hand, focused at the development of products supported by innovative (VM-Virtual Manufacturing) technologies;

• Discussion with the participants of the conference, where all the updates and possible improvements of the proposed model of cooperation between University and enterprises, as well as further steps towards its implementation in the region were examined.

• Display of possibilities for the application of innovative development of products and process through the presentation of new equipment and software:

  • Multisensor Werth coordinate measuring machines, for product measuring and control;
  • Rapidprototyping machine, OBJECT ALARIS 30 3D printer, for rapid polymer prototype making and testing of product functionality;
  • VM software for the development and optimization of products and technologies, through the display of options and the previous results, on a great number of industrial examples realised in CEVIP.

Participants of the conference, over 50 of them from enterprises, faculties and research centers, have expressed great interest for the current project activities, the proposed model of cooperation, and especially for the upcoming specialized trainings and services offered within CEVIP, in innovative product development department.
