The first visit to University of Padua

Project team WBC-Vmnet visited The University of Padua from July 16th to 21st, 2009. In accordance with previously agreed visit Agenda, three meetings were held at Rectorate of University of Padua and at DIMEG department.


Two meetings were held on July 17th, 2009. On the first morning meeting, which was held at Palazzo del Bo, Prof. Giuseppe Tondello - Prorector for Business Liaison opened meeting and welcomed all the participants. Later on, Dr Andrea Berti -Director of Technology Transfer Office - has held the presentation about TTO activities at The University of Padua, as well as about TTO cooperation with industry. On the afternoon meeting, Prof. Davide Matteo Pettenella - Liaison co-ordinator for Slavic and Balkan countries - presented University of Padua, its structure, number of employees, bilateral agreements, and possibility of student exchange with other Universities. There was also a discussion with Prof. dr Alberto Mirandela, Director of Department for Mechanical Engineering, responsible for Job Placement Office.


The third meeting at DIMEG (Department of Innovation in Mechanics and Management) was held on July 20th, 2009. Prof. Paolo F. Bariani - Chair of Department DIMEG, presented DIMEG activities, Prof. dr Vesna Mandić presented CeVIP and its activities, and Prof. dr Milentije Stefanović presented Laboratory of Metal Forming. Project coordinator Prof. Dr Vesna Mandi also presented WBC-Vmnet Project. In the afternoon, Net-shape Forming laboratory and metrology laboratory were visited, where the project team was acquainted with staff experience in using Werth Videocheck IP 400 coordinate measurement machine.
