The second motivational seminar „Join and Benefit“ was held in Croatia

The second motivational seminar titled "Join and Benefit" was held on February 16th 2010, at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Rijeka, Croatia.

On the motivational seminar invited representatives from universities, businesses, regional and local institutions. In the opening speech, addressed by Professor Zmagoslav Prelec, Vice-Dean for business affairs of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Zdravko Lenac, Rector´s Assistant for international projects of the University of Rijeka, Assistant Professor Zoran Jurkovic, site manager of the project for University of Rijeka and Professor Vesna Mandic, project coordinator.

The goal of motivational seminar was introduce environment with the aims of the project, the results achieved in the first year, and future activities that are expected full contribution to academic, regional and local institutions and business entities presented by Professor Vesna Mandic. One of the following important activities in the integration of the knowledge triangle are very soon public presentations and discussion of the "New regional model of cooperation between the University and enterprises in the Western Balkans". Previous examples of good practice of cooperation between the University of Rijeka and business entities, as well as the presentation of the main goals that they want to achieve through the CTC presented by Assistant Professor Zoran Jurkovic.

The results achieved with TSNA analysis (presented by Mr. Hrvoje Radelja), which included 31 enterprises and which was carried out in cooperation with the Croatian Employment Service (presented by Mrs. Daniela Maras Vukusic), were presented. Furthermore, the presentation of the services and present achieved results in cooperation with enterprises was presented by Professor Mladen Perinic, head of the CTC Rijeka.

At the end of the motivational seminar is open to discussion in which participants proposed a list of specialized trainings, which will be discussed and agreed upon in the coming period, in order to access the development of modules for trainings and education, according to the needs of enterprises and labor market.

The general conclusion of the all participants on this motivational seminar that an open process of cooperation should continue on specific tasks.
