The seventh Info day held in Croatia (Zagreb)

The seventh Info day within the Tempus project WBC-VMnet, was held on 30 June, 2010 in Zagreb (Croatia) at the University of Zagreb.
The main goal of this INFO day was as introduce academic and business environment with the aims of the project, the achieved results and following activities of CTC (Collaborative Training Center) with efforts to be support SMEs.
Info day in Zagreb was opened by welcome speech of full professor Melita Kovacevic, Vice-rector for Science and Technology at University of Zagreb and Gordana Cukar, coordinator of National Tempus Office (NTO).

  • Project presentation with emphasis of proposed model of cooperation "WBC regional model of university-enterprise cooperation" was presented by Ph.D. Zoran Jurkovic.
  • Second presentation was about Tempus project OPUS (Opening University towards Society: Linking Education-Research-Innovation) presented by M.Sc. Hrvoje Matakovic, from University of Zagreb.
The both project have a core in the integration of the knowledge triangle as important aspects of university-enterprise cooperation.

  • After those Tempus project presentations it was prepared set of three presentations, especially for business population, presented by Marijana Cutuk from Croatian Institute of Technology - HIT. First presentation, Introduce in FP7, was about Cooperation programme, devoted to supporting cooperation between universities, industry, research centers and public authorities throughout the EU and beyond. Second one, was Capacities programme, aim to enhance research and innovation capacities throughout Europe and ensure their optimal use, opportunity and benefits for involved SMEs in this programme. Third presentation it was EEN-Enterprise Europe Network with explanations of aims and benefits for business sector and procedure to be part of that network.


Participants of the Info day were from academic, business and local institutions, have expressed great interest for all presentations and also made a new contacts important to broaden main ideas of WBC-VMnet project.
